Matt (or rather his friends) reminded me of a past great quote from Jackson just before Emerson was born.
We went to a friends family lake house. Jackson was having a great time playing with ride on tractor trucks, digging in the sand, and (after some getting used to) playing in the lake water.
He started in the sand, moved to bringing us leaves on the dock before settling in for awhile climbing up the slide and quickly sliding into the water. It was all at very shallow water but we still had to watch him from the momentum of the slide into the water putting him sitting in the sand under water. He was scared of the slide for a while, but once discovered it used all the rest of his energy
When it was time to leave our little man became very upset. Always trying to help him explain his feelings I asked him if he was sad to go because he was having to much fun.
Between sobs and huge alligator years he choked out loudly yeah, I'm having to much fun!"
He was so sincere, so tired, and so cute having too much fun.
